Bernard J Arnull & Company Limited were established in 1956 to promote BULGOMME-SILENCE RUBBER CELLULAR BASED FLOORING to the Architectural and Specifier Market, and were successful in establishing BULGOMME as a significant material in the UK.
Bulgomme was sold to Schools (CLASP SYSTEM), Universities, Hospitals, and to many Commercial Offices with great success. Indeed, even now, some 20 years or so since we ceased dealing with Bulgomme due to an enormous rise in price following the Oil Crisis, we still get queries on cleaning and maintenance from many installations where Bulgomme continues to give most excellent service.
Along with Bulgomme, we also marketed a Foam-backed Vinyl material called Plastylon Mousse and a PVC wall covering called Plastlon-Mur which again were targeted with success at these markets.

In the late sixties Canton Carpet Tiles were added to our range and again these achieved considerable success, being supplied to IBM amongst others for all their office installations. Cainton unfortunately folded in the early seventies, and we replaced this range with Mexaflor Carpet Tiles and several other ranges such as Fulda, although not with the same success.
